The relatively young Delegation of the German Industry and Commerce to Kenya has earned its stripes. Germany will remain part of the EU-led Operation Atalanta to combat piracy off the coast of Somalia. German troops are now also authorized to take action against the pirates’ logistical bases on the shore. This was decided by the Bundestag on May 10.
